Uploading Smilies in Cutenews
Don't like the basic smilies that Cutenews provides for you? Well, you can upload your own, just read the tutorial below :).
Step One
Open up your FTP Manager. Go to your Cutenews folder >> data >> emoticons.
Delete all the smilies that are there that you don't want.
Step Two
You should have your own smilies downloaded somewhere. (You can get some from us here)
Upload all of your new smilies into the emoticons folder.
Step Three
When that's finished, log onto your cutenews admin. Click on Options >> System Configuration.
Now this next part may get tricky, but anyways, there should be a section below, that says Smilies... seperate them with commas (,). In the textbox beside it, type in the names of the smilies you uploaded. For example, if you have three smilies you wanted to upload that's called happy.gif, sad.gif, and mad.gif, you should type in:
happy,sad,mad
Do that to all your smilies.. you don't need to include the file extension, just type in the name. The key things you should remember is to seperate with commas for each file and no spaces between each. Save changes, and your smilies are uploaded!
