Installing Cutenews

Introduction

Cutenews is a blogging tool or a news management system. You can use it for your websites as bloggers or site updates. Cutenews allows your visitors to comment back on what you have written.
You can also do many others, like customizing the css for your liking. It's easy to use!

Step One

Download Cutenews here. Extract the zipped folder, and make a new folder (directory) onto your server/ftp account. You should name the folder cutenews or something.
Upload the content from the cutenews.1.4.5 to your new folder in your FTP account.

Step Two

When that's done, CHMOD (right click and select properties/CHMOD... it depends on what FTP program you're using) the folder cutenews/data/ to 777. Be sure to include the files and subfolders in the data folder as well.

Step Three

Go to http://YOURWEBSITE/cutenews/index.php. Follow the instructions they ask for, and just fill in the required fields. You will need to provide a username and password, and others like your name and email address.
When your installation is complete, you are done and you can start blogging! =)
Remember to read the README file they provided when you first download cutenews. It has all the information on how to put up the news, etc.
