Fake Vector Tutorial

Have you ever tried drawing your own vector, but you just couldn't do it after many tries? Well, here's a tutorial on how to make a fake vector.. not exactly the best idea, but it adds a nice 'vector' look to images!
There are two methods you can make fake vectors. We will show you both. :)

(Method One): Step One

Open up a picture onto photoshop that you would like to "vectorize." Our example will be the lovely Anne Hathaway.

Step Two

Go to Filter >> Blur >> Smart Blur. A pop-up should appear.

You might want to make the Radius to 1, just so your image won't be too blurry. The rest of the settings can be changed to your liking. Click okay when you are done.

Step Three

You can always stop there, but here's something that will it less blurry. Go to Filter >> Sharpen >> Unsharp Mask. A pop-up will appear.

You can adjust the settings to your liking. Click ok.

(Method Two): Step One

Here's the second method
Once you have your image, go to Image >> Adjustments >> Posterize. A pop-up will appear, and you need to type in the 'level'. We suggest to go for a high number, because low numbers don't make the image attractive. We'll set ours to 20.

Step Two

You can stop here, but you can add a bit more edge to the image.
Go to Filter >> Sharpen >> Sharpen Edges. You can always sharpen as many times as you like, but once is okay ;)
