Glued on Images
Here's something fun you can do to your images to add a cool effect, making the images looked "glued on", "pasted", or "popped up." Follow these four easy steps =]
Step One
Open up Adobe Photoshop, and open any image you like. Make sure its a simple image that you can easily trace around. For this tutorial, we're going to use a picture of the lovely
Jessica Stam.
Step Two
Now that you have your image, click on the Lasso Tool
and start tracing around the image,
making sure you leave just a little bit of space between the body and the tracer. When you've met the end, you should see "marching ants" around the image now:
Step Three
Go to Edit>>Copy Merged (or SHIFT+CTRL+C), and then go to File>>New (or CTRL+N) to create a blank document. Now on the blank document, go to
Edit>>Paste (or CTRL+V). Your image should look something like this:

The edges are a bit jagged, so use the Eraser Tool to make it smoother.
Step Four
Now, make sure you are on the Background Layer. Choose a colour that might go well with the person in the image, so we're going to pick blue.
Use the Paint Bucket Tool. It should appear something like this now:

Now click on Layer One which should be your image. Go to Layer>>Layer Style>>Blending Options.

A pop up should appear. Click the "Drop Shadow" box, and make your settings like below:

If you want to, you can check the Bevel and Emboss box to make it really stand out and pop up. But if you are already satisfied, click OK.

Be creative and decorate it with brushes, etc. Yours can turn out like something like below:
